19 to 21 inches adjustable
Pendant 3.5" x 2"
Five beautiful antique Tibetan hair beads are interspersed with very
old silver beads. The hair beads are turquoise cabochons embedded
in conch shell shaped silver ornaments. In Tibetan Buddhism, the conch
is one of a particular set of eight auspicious symbols. These beads would
have been sewn on clothing, used a as part of a necklace, or worn in the
hair as part of a Tibetan woman's headdress called a Pagor. These beads
have wonderful patinas from being strung and worn over a long period
time. A Thai silver extender and sterling silver hook and eye clasp.
